Why working from home is better in winter

Minus one outside, warm as toast inside, it’s not rocket science - working from home is so much better in arctic conditions. Here’s why I love winter writing:

• New year, new everything. Plenty of positive projects floating around

• General work ethic after Christmas is always up, rarely down

• Cosy talks encourage shared ideas

• Shared ideas help encourage personal writing ideas

• Everyone’s snuggled up at their desk too, it’s a communal season

• No hot parks to tempt us for ice cream

• No long sunny lunches that make us all want to sack off the afternoon and stay out

• Great excuse to hog the heater, currently right under my desk thankyouverymuch

• Opportunity to wear ugly thermals that work so well but look so bad

• Hot tea. That is all
